STANLEY — The Hornbeck Lady Hornets gained the momentum early on and never relented in a 46-25 road win over the Stanley Lady Panthers.
Hornbeck (1-0) got a game-high 16 points from Hannah Mitchell, while senior Hannah Dahlhoff added 15 points in the contest.
Maggie Walker led Stanley with 15 points.

PITKIN — A huge first-quarter outburst by the Pitkin Lady Tigers proved to be enough as they defeated the Simpson Lady Broncos, 55-47.
Pitkin (1-0) had four players in double figures as Heidi Nelson, Natalee Nolen and Tucker Perkins each scored 13 points in the victory. Abby Robinson added 10 points for the Lady Tigers.
Lexie Merriman paced Simpson (0-1) with 17 points, while Olivia Edwards notched 14 points.

Negreet Lady Indians….42
SIMPSON — The three-time defending state champion Hicks Lady Pirates had little trouble winning their season opener on Tuesday, downing the Negreet Lady Indians, 64-42.
Senior Lauren Quinn led Hicks (1-0) with 13 points, while fellow senior Avery Coffman added 12 points.
Kaiya Causey paced Negreet (0-1) with 12 points.

ANACOCO — The Anacoco Lady Indians picked up a huge comeback win on Tuesday, beating the rival Florien Lady Blackcats, 51-48.
Anacoco (2-0) got 12 points from Paige Mayo, while Bella Henry added 11 points.
Florien (0-1) got a game-high 13 points from Londyn Sparks. LaToya Holmes and Gracie Rutherford added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
