Pickering, Pitkin earn big wins

PICKERING — The Pickering Red Devils exploded for 53 points in the second half as they drilled the Starks Panthers on Tuesday night, 79-43.

After leading 26-22 at the half, Pickering ran away from Starks in the second half, outscoring the Panthers, 53-21, over the final 16 minutes.

Marlon Freeney had 17 points to lead Pickering, while Landon Chattam added 16 points. Kaleb O’Banion contributed 13 points, while Desire Privitera chipped in with 12 points. Chance Guidry paced the Panthers with 26 points.

PITKIN — The Pitkin Tigers bounced back from a Monday loss to Negreet to drub the Oak Hill Rams, 65-12.

Isaac Reed led the Tigers with 16 points, while Oak Hill had no player reach double figures.

ROSEPINE — The Rosepine Eagles had three players score in double figures on Monday night as they rallied past the DeRidder Dragons, 72-58.

Hunter Hines led the Eagles with 23 points, while Braydon Williams came in with 16 points. Hayden Brister contributed 15 points in the win.

Bryant Hammond paced DeRidder with 22 points, while Semant Fairley added 10 points.

LEESVILLE — The Many Tigers overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to defeat the homestanding Leesville Wampus Cats on Monday, 58-49.

Ja’Warren Cade paced the Tigers with 25 points, while Kayleb Hotchman and Da’Ton Davis had 14 points each.

Daven Scott led the Wampus Cats with 22 points, while Jeremiah Lee added 13 points.

In other action, the Negreet Indians rallied to beat the Pitkin Tigers on Monday, 54-51. Matthew Paul and Jayce Thompson led the way for the Tigers, scoring 27 and 14 points, respectively. Nolan Byles had 12 points for Negreet.
