The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who fled from deputies during his arrest last week.
Quinton Haley was in the process of being handcuffed the afternoon of Saturday, April 9, by a VPSO deputy when he managed to break away from the deputy and flee on foot in the area of John Keel Loop in Burr Ferry. Authorities said he was partially handcuffed at the time of his escape.
He was last seen wearing a green shirt and khaki shorts.
Vernon Parish Chief Detective Rhonda Jordan said this week that investigators believe Haley is still in the area, and that anyone found to be assisting or harboring him will be arrested.
Haley has an active warrant for his arrest for forgery charges.
Anyone with information regarding Haley’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact Crimestoppers at 337-239-2233. Callers do not have to give their name, and can be assigned a code number in order to collect their reward.
