‘Celebration Gator’ to crawl through Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Thanksgiving Day in New York City will again have a distinct Louisiana flavor as the 60-foot-long “Celebration Gator” will roll in the 96th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade helping millions along the route and watching on television celebrate the holiday Louisiana style.
Riding aboard the float and performing this year is New Orleans native and Grammy winner Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. Trombone Shorty won his first Grammy this year and recently released his latest album, “Lifted.”
This is the second appearance for the “Celebration Gator” in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade encouraging visitors from around the world to experience the culture, history, food, and music that are uniquely Louisiana.
