James Thomas Neff Jr., Jimbo to his family and friends, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023.
Jimbo was born on May 18, 1950 in Leesville to Dr. James “Jim” T. Neff and Robbie “Bobbie” Lee Craft Neff.
He called Leesville home for the last 35 years after raising a family in the Houston area.
He is predeceased by his parents, Jim and Bobbie Neff; brothers, Mark Alan Neff, Michael Vaughn Neff, and Gary Steven Neff.
He is survived by his brother, Dr. Jerry Neff and wife Laura; and his sisters-in-law Anna Jo Neff and Doris Neff; his children, James Lynn Neff wife Leslie, Lois Christine Jaime husband Darren, and Joyce Lee Schmutzer husband Andrew; grandchildren Gabriel, Abigail, Megan, Dj, Willa and Grayson; great-grandchildren, Luke and Elana; and beloved nieces, Kelly Lackey, Lindsey Savant , and Ashley Brayton; and nephews, Matthew, Patrick, Andrew, and Zach Neff.
Memorial service will be held at the Methodist Church in Leesville on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m.
The family has requested memorials be made to the United Methodist Church of the Pines at PO Box 1412, Jasper, Texas.
