CLARENCE DIXON

Clarence E. Dixon, 78, died at 3 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 30, 1931 in Anacoco to William David and Lenora T. (Conerly) Dixon and they preceded him in death. On
Dec. 20, 1953 he married Dorothy May McCormick and she preceded him in death on Nov. 20, 2004.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin (Maxine) Dixon of Conroe, Texas, Warren (Chris) Dixon of Lima; two daughters, Marlene (Paul) Font,
Evansport, Ohio, Patricia (Richard) Seibert, Spencerville; one sister Nell Simmons Wright, all of Kurthwood; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Clarence was preceded in death by four sisters, Nora Lee Jernigan, Lucille
McAfee, Geneva Dixon and Mildred Martin and two brothers, Warren and Orvan Dixon.
Clarence was a member of the Holly Grove Church. He attended the Kossuth Zion United Methodist Church, was a member of Wayne Lodge #569 F&AM,
Waynesfield, Valley of Dayton Scottish Rite 32nd degree Mason and Orange Chapter 224 Order of the Eastern Star in Anacoco. Clarence served as a staff sergeant in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW Post #6772 in
Spencerville. He retired from Scot Lad Foods Maintenance Department after 32 years and was a 1948 graduate of Anacoco High School.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 16, 2009 at Armentrout Funeral Home, Waynesfield,
Ohio with Rev. Ray Daniel Jr. officiating.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Armentrout Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to Grand Lake Hospice.
Additional
services will be conducted in Anacoco at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at Holly Grove Methodist Church, with burial to follow at the Church Cemetery with full military honors.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19 at the
church in Anacoco.
