Funeral services for Nyla Rose Brister, 66, of Leesville, will be held
Monday, January 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the First United Pentecostal Church in Leesville with Rev. M.C. Green, Rev. John Burns and Christopher Oswald officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 3 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. at Labby Memorial Funeral
Home in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Old Leesville Cemetery in Leesville. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Mrs. Brister, the daughter of Homer and Maebelle Buxton Perkins, was
born on June 20, 1943 in DeRidder. She passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2009 in Natchitoches.
She is survived by her three daughters, Donna Rose Vanderhoff of Leesville; Debbie Renae Oswald of Natchitoches and Deiadra “Dee” Ann
Behrman of Colorado Springs, Colo.; mother Mae Belle Perkins of Belton, Texas; two brothers Michael Perkins of Belton,Texas and Freddie Perkins of Temple, Texas; three sisters Peggy Jones of Tacoma, Wash., Betty Matthews of Belton,Texas and Anita
Barnes of Heidenheimer, Texas; grandchildren Amanda Sherrill, Andrew Camps, Alexander Camps, Christopher Oswald, Brittany Oswald, Megan Behrman and Collin Behrman; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
husband Donald Ray Brister and her father Homer Perkins.
