Troy Sandell

Troy Dean Sandell, 91, passed from this life on January 24, 2010 at Alexandria.
His visitation and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at Hixson
Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Ray Leidig. Burial will follow at Self Cemetery in Hornbeck under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna Sandell of Huntsville, Ark; sisters,
Lela Mae Evans of Florien, Una Lea Savell of Port Neches, Texas, Veral Hutchinson of Willis, Texas and Floy Jordan of Leesville; brothers, Chris Sandell of Leesville, Talmadge Sandell of New Waverly, Texas and a host of nephews and
nieces.
Troy was a life long resident of the Hornbeck area. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and fought bravely in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a retired inspector of machinery at Fort Polk and was a
former Mason and member of the Hornbeck Methodist Church.
