Memorial services for George H. Navarro, 76, of Leesville will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 1
p.m. at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Leesville with Father Kenneth Michiels officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 13, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home with a Rosary being held at 7 p.m. Services are under the
direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
George H. Navarro was born on March 20, 1934 in Laredo, Texas. He passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. He retired as a SSG from the
US Army, and was a veteran of the Korean War. He also retired as a Fire Captain from Fort Polk. Mr. Navarro was a member of VFW American Legion, life member of Retired Legion in New Llano, a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and a Den
Leader with Pack 75. He has always been a member of St. Michaels. He was always lending a helping hand and loved helping people.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dora Navarro of Leesville; sons, Raymond Navarro (wife, Karen) of
Leesville and George H. Navarro II of Austin, Texas; daughter, Gloria Dickison (husband, Dave) of Alexandria, Va; and four grandchildren, Terence Navarro, Ryne Navarro, Katherine Dickison and Samantha Dickson.
