Carol Bosley, 75, of Rosepine, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 in Lake
Charles. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, and Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Rosepine.
Funeral services will be
held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Rosepine, with Bro. Greg Crawford, Bro. Jeff Bosley and Bro. Wayne Kite officiating. Private family interment will follow.
Carol was born on May 4, 1935 in Hot Springs,
N.C. to Caney and Laura Smith. Carol was married to Master Sgt. James L. Bosley (U.S. Army retired), who served 20 years as Chief of Police for Rosepine Police Department following his Army career. Together they raised three sons. During her
husband’s military service, she lived in North Carolina, Texas, Germany and Louisiana. She served 22 years as a town councilwoman for the Town of Rosepine and also served as a teacher’s assistant at Rosepine Elementary School. She was a long-time
member of First Baptist Church of Rosepine. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Jim. She is survived by her sons: Chuck and wife Kathy of Ragley; Jeff and wife Anita of Hernando, Miss.; and Johnny and wife Carolyn of Rosepine; her
grandchildren: Blake, Jillian, Karly, Rebekah, Matt and Kyle; her sister Judy Ferguson; and aunt June Swanger of North Carolina.
