Johnnie “Paddy” Fisher Mahony, 95, passed from this life on Saturday, July
17, 2010 at Farmerville.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010, 11a.m. at First Baptist Church of Leesville. Ministers will be Rev. Jerry Penfield and Randy Humphrey. Burial will be at Kisatchie Cemetery, Kisatchie,
under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville, a dignity memorial provider. Visitation will begin on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Leesville.
Johnnie is
survived by her brother, Ardron Fisher and wife Cherrie of Chatsworth, Calif. brother-in-law, Marion Shivers formerly of Leesville; niece, Janice Boley and husband Jim of Farmerville; nephews, Shaerrod Mitcham and wife Gail of Monroeville, Ala.;
Tommy Mitcham and wife Jan of Cypress, Texas, Larry Shivers and wife Donna of Viola, Ill., Kenneth Shivers and wife Susan of Peopone, Ill., Randy Shivers of Leesville; Greg Fisher and wife Joann of Valencia, Calif. and Jay Fisher and wife Theresa of
Simi Valley, Calif.; a host of great nieces; nephews; and friends in the Pueblo and Colorado Springs areas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, H.A. Fisher and Carrie Smith Fisher; husband, John Mahony; and sisters Mytle Mitcham and
Marzelle Shivers.
Johnnie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leesville. She began her teaching career at Leesville High School from 1939 to 1940 when she moved to the Pueblo, Colo. area. For the next 30 years she taught at
