Funeral services for Kenneth P. “Ken” Klammer, 63, of Anacoco, will be held
at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from
5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19 and Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 from 8 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home.
Ken, the son of Hugo and Dorothy Virginia Distel Klammer, was born Oct. 28, 1946 in Rockville Center, N.Y. He served in
the U.S. Army for three years during which he served in Korea and was also stationed at Fort Polk with the Quarter Master Corp. He retired after 30 years in 2001 from the Directorate of Logistics and Supply office at Fort Polk. Ken loved to donate
his time and heart to various charitable events, he loved NASCAR and NHRA Drag Racing. He was a devoted friend and would always be there for anyone who needed him.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years Leanna Klammer of Anacoco; mother,
Dorothy V. Klammer of Anacoco (formerly of Sea Cliff, N.Y.); daughters, Laurie Carruth of Anacoco, Susie Haymon and husband, Jimmy of Anacoco, and Cathy Boyd and husband, Joe of Slagle; grandchildren, Anne Ashfield, Michael Boyd, Whitney Haymon, Sara
Boyd and Chase Haymon and numerous cousins who loved and cherished his memory from the New York area.
