Funeral services for Ronald Dean Spencer, 62, of Rosepine, will be held
Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at 2 p.m. in Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Interment will follow at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine under the direction of Myers Colonial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday,
Oct. 19, 2010, from 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday morning, Oct. 20, 2010, from 10 a.m. until service time at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
Mr. Spencer passed away on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, in Rosepine.
He was a Vietnam
Veteran and later worked at Fort Polk for 37 years, retiring to spend more time with his family. He was a loving father and a proud grandfather. His children and grandchildren were the center of his life.
He was preceded in death his
father, William Curtis Spencer; his mother, Nora Belle Spencer; brothers, Clyde Spencer, James L. Spencer, Donald Spencer, Robert L. Spencer, Kenny Spencer and Radis Spencer; sisters, Glenna Bonnell, Sue Malville, and Phyllis Spencer.
Survivors include his son, Jimmy Dee Spencer of Austin, Texas; his daughter, Nora and husband Leigh “Bubba” Fuselier of DeRidder; grandchildren, Gavin Bryce Fuselier and Lane Spencer Fuselier, both of DeRidder; brothers, Rudy Spencer of Tujunga,
Calif. and Billy Spencer of Dinuba, Calif.; one sister, Barbara Davis of Brush, Colo.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
