Exa Evalie Holley, 99, of Hornbeck, passed from this life on Monday, Oct.
17, 2011.
Evalie was born on July 17, 1912 in Marthaville. She then moved to Hornbeck as a young child. She was well known for her love of animals, flowers and books. Evalie never met a stranger. She had a very outgoing personality and was
very active in the community. She was a very energetic person, who loved to work outside no matter the weather.
She is survived by her daughter, Pauline Janette Grossmann and husband Klaus of Tampico Tamps, Mexico; son, Stieve E. Holley
and wife Myrtie of Hornbeck; granddaughters, Evalie Janette Grossmann Abrahamsson of Tampico Tamps, Mexico, Hanna Elizabeth Grossmann Brown of Sandy, Ore. and Joyce Marie Holley of Vinton; grandsons, Joe Forrest Holley of Hornbeck, Robert Edward
Holley and wife Bridget of LaFontaine, Ind.; three great granddaughters, Elsa Janette Abrahamsson, Ella Grace Brown and Indie Meyer; and six great grandsons: Nicolas Abrahamsson, Andrew Wilhelm Brown, Luke Aiden Brown, Stieve Forrest Holley, Eli
Townsend Holley and Mason Meyer.
Visitation will be on Oct. 19 from 4-9 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville. The funeral service will be held on Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. in Hixson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery
under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
