Funeral services for Mary OmaLee Smith, 83, of Leesville will be held at 10 a.m. on Oct. 20 at Sandy Hill Baptist Church in Pickering with Rev. Billy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery in Pickering under
the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Oct. 19, 2011, at the church.
Mary, the daughter of James Franklin and Rutha Mariah York Mitchell, was born on Nov. 29, 1927, in
Sulphur Springs, Texas. She passed away on Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Vernon Parish Homemakers for 20 years. She was also a Pickering Band Booster for six years.
She was
preceded in death by husband, Billy Hugh Smith and daughter Toni Ilicia Smith.
She is survived by her son Randy Hugh Smith and wife Cherissa Sky-Eagle Smith of Moscow, Texas; daughters, Gwynetta Lynn Holmes of Port Richey, Fla. and
Jennifer Rebecca Smith of Leesville; and 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
