Rev. Loyd Jeane, 75, of Evans passed from this life at 5 p.m. on Dec. 11,
2011 at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Lake Charles.
Bro. Loyd Jeane was the pastor of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in DeRidder since 1970. He was one of few preachers that still upheld old time godly standards and he touched a lot of
lives and prayed for many people throughout the years. He was not just a father to his two sons but he was the father of the church. He lost his daughter to cancer when she was 3.5 years old in 1970 and one can only imagine what a great reunion there
was between them on Sunday evening. He always longed for the day he would reunite with his little Dottie. Please continue to pray for his family and church family. He will be dearly missed.
Rev. Jeane is survived by his wife of 56 years,
Lucille Jarrell Jeane of Evans and two sons, Donald Loyd Jeane, also of Evans, and Shane Jeane and wife Tanya of Knight Community. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Lakyn Jeane and Bryleigh Jeane; brother, Roger Jeane and sister, Bea Egan.
Rev. Jeane was preceded in death by his daughter, Dottie Jeane; parents, Mace and Bertie Jeane; and a sister, Faye Jeane.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Dec. 14 at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in DeRidder and
from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Dec. 15, also at the church. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 15 at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Reverends Bobby Ritchey, Arlie Rowley and Bo Harris will officiate. Pallbearers will include Jerry
Kimsey, Bobby Cooley, Scott Jeane, Randell Jeane, Danny Jarrell and Ricky Jarrell.
