Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Penfield, 86, of Leesville will be held at 1
p.m. on Jan. 14 at Fort Jesup Baptist Church with Dr. Vernon Stephenson, Rev. Craig Forque and Rev. Ralph Hines officiating. Burial will follow in the Fort Jesup Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Jan. 12 and from 8 a.m. to noon on Jan. 13 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, Louisiana. Visitation will also be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Jan. 14 at Fort Jesup Baptist
Church in Fort Jesup.
Mrs. Penfield, the daughter of Willie Oscar and Emma Langford Williams, was born on July 11, 1925, in Mansfield. She entered eternal rest on Jan. 11, 2012, in Leesville.
Mrs. Penfield was a true Southern
lady and loved spending time with her family. She faithfully served her Lord as a pastor’s wife and ladies’ Bible study teacher, and was known as a prayer warrior.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ray Penfield; one daughter,
Beverly Penfield and a sister, Marie Womack.
She is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Rhodes and husband Larry, and Janice Adamson and husband Weldon, all of Leesville; two sons, Rev. Jerry Penfield and wife DiAnne of Leesville and Jimmie
Penfield and wife Kathy of Shreveport; and brother, Willis Williams of Phoenix. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Leesville or
St. Jude.
