Celebration of life services for Neva M. Toney, 94, will be held 10 a.m. on
Aug. 25 in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville, with Bro. Davis of First Baptist Church of Anacoco officiating. Immediately following services, interment will take place in Castor Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home.
The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 8 a.m. until the time of service on Aug. 25 in the Hixson Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Toney was born June 5, 1918, in Jasper Co., Texas, to the late William Walter and Pearl Owens
Boycher and was peacefully called to her Heavenly home Aug. 23, 2012, in Leesville. She was affiliated with East Leesville Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for more than 30 years. Mrs. Toney was always smiling, never had a bad word to
say or a complaint cross her lips. She will be remembered for the kind, gentle and loving spirit that she always shared.
Mrs. Toney is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Amos Toney; her parents; one son, Charles Toney; good friends,
Charles and Kathy Brooks; caregiver, Marie Moss; three sisters, Lannie Bell, Lillie Williams and Viola Richard; three brothers, Guy Boycher, Alfred Boycher and Albert Boycher; and one granddaughter, Darla Tuck.
Left to cherish Mrs. Toney’s
memory and share her stories will be one granddaughter, Debbie Ross and husband Ricky; one great-granddaughter, Haley Tuck Stevens; two great-great-grandsons, Mason and Tanner Ross; one great-great-granddaughter, Taylor Stevens; along with many
wonderful friends.
