Violet Ester (Hatten) Hill passed from this life on Oct. 21, 2012 at Byrd
Hospital in Leesville. Known affectionately as “Vi,” she was born on Dec. 16, 1944 in Pasadena, Texas to her loving parents, William Brown Hatten and Eula Lowery Hatten Curry. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her brother Ellis Hatten; and
her niece Kimberly Wallett.
The Hill family will gather at 11 a.m. on Oct. 27 at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, to honor “Vi” in a memorial service. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Oct. 27 and continue until the time of
service.
Vi’s survivors include her son, Christopher Jason Morrell of Adams Center, N.Y.; five brothers, David Hatten of Delhi, Leo Hatten of Elizabethtown, Pa., Wesley Hatten and Mike Hatten both of West Monroe; and Buck Curry of Delhi;
four sisters, Erma Lee Hoggatt and husband Ronald of Leesville, Lena Phillipi of West Monroe, Jessie Johnson of Vinton, and Jamie Hatten of Corpus Christi, Texas; three grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, many cousins, and wonderful
friends.
