Funeral services for Frank Muse, 92, of Leesville
were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with Rev. D.R. Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation was
Friday, Dec. 19 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 20 from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Frank, the son of James Monroe and Louis Francis Ford Muse, was born on Dec. 31, 1921 in Leesville. He passed away on
Dec. 18, 2014 in Leesville.
Frank worked for the newspapers for 29 years. He retired in 1976 and moved from Houston to Leesville. While in Houston, he owned and operated the first-ever Baskin-Robins Ice Cream in Texas. He then drove a
school bus for Vernon Parish School System and also owned the “Y” Grocery Store for ten years in Leesville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anacoco.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, James Monroe
Muse.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Audra Muse of Leesville; son, Ronnie Muse and wife Ellen of Sugarland, Texas; one granddaughter, Jamie Muse of Katy, Texas; four grandsons, Ronnie Muse, Jr., of Schertz, Texas, Austin Muse of
Houston, Texas, David Muse of Anacoco and Ryan Muse of Anacoco; two great-granddaughters, Melanie Lelsz of Katy, Texas, Morgan Lelsz of Katy, Texas and great-grandson, Dominic Muse of Schertz, Texas; one step-granddaughter, Brenda West and husband
Donny of Leesville; three step-great-granddaughters, Haley West, Holly West and Halayna West; two step-grandsons, Hayden West and Heath West; one great-great step-granddaughter, Ella Favrot; and two daughters-in-law, Diann Muse of Anacoco and Roma
Abbott of Houston, Texas.
