Memorial services for Jeffrey Scott Wimberly, 54,
of Leesville will be he held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23 at the Labby Memorial Funeral in Leesville under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Jeffrey Scott Wimberly was born July 7, 1960 at the Fort Hood Army
Hospital to Elbert “Bill” and Beadie “Leigh” Wimberly, a military family. He attended school in Germany after Louisiana. He served four years in the United States Army. The family retired to Leesville. After his military service, he worked in the
family business as a computer specialist and many other positions. When the business closed, he started his own business.
He was president of his own train website, as miniature trains were one of his passions and joys. He was a Boy Scout
leader and enjoyed working the younger generation. He was a volunteer firefighter from 1996 to 2012 and had attained rank of captain. He was the safety officer and was in charge of safety training. He had to resign due to his health issues.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother, Beadie “Leigh” Wimberly.
He is survived by his father, Elbert “Bill” Wimberly of Leesville; sisters, Stephanie Davis of Leesville and Lael Alston Ferguson of Winchester,
Virginia; and step-mother, Ann R. Snell Martin Wimberly of Pitkin.
