Funeral services for Carolyn Sue McClellan Buxton
will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Castor Baptist Church, Leesville, La., with Rev. Walter Collins and Rev. Charles Boswell officiating. Burial will follow in Castor Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at Castor Baptist Church, Leesville, La.
Ms. Carolyn Sue McClellan Buxton was born on Feb. 21, 1942, to John and Lillie McClellan in Leesville, La., and passed away on
July 17, 2015, at the age of 73 in Leesville, La. She was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish and a 1960 graduate of Leesville High School. She was a cafeteria cook at East Leesville Elementary and North Fort Polk for many years. She loved to cook
and take care of others. She was a true giver with a very kind heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Buxton, parents: John and Lillie Dowden McClellan, sisters: Quinda Henry and Ruby Jane Coburn.
Ms. Buxton is
survived by her daughter: Tawana Fletcher and husband Sherwin of Leesville, La., brother: Buddy McClellan of Kentucky, sister: Yvonne Blair of Missouri, special friend and companion: Charles Stimac, and a host of other family and friends.
