Phillips promoted at Merchants and Farmers Bank

Ken Hughes, President/CEO of Merchants & Farmers Bank is proud to announce Melissa Phillips has been promoted to New Accounts/IRA Supervisor at the Main Office, headquartered at 501 South 5th Street in Leesville.
“Melissa has been an excellent New Accounts expert at several of our banking locations. She will do a wonderful job heading up our New Accounts/IRA Department,” states Hughes.
Her responsibilities will include ensuring effective management of the operation of new accounts at all branches, making sure established policies and procedures are followed, to include employee training of new accounts, promote all banking products, open/close/update IRA accounts, process successions, handle Estate accounts, process accidental death insurance claims for families of deceased Blue Ribbon members, and open/close Safe Deposit Boxes and CDs.
Phillips began her career at the bank in October 2014 as a Teller at Lee Hills and then moved to the New Llano office. She has since worked as a backup Vault Teller at Uptown and New Accounts Representative at the Main Office. Melissa resides in Leesville with her husband of ten years, Robert. Together, they have three children—Meleah (16), Joshua (16) and Makayla (12).
