Funeral services for Lucy Lee Glaspie Chism, 92,
of Hornbeck were held Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Hornbeck United Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Steve Lora officiating. Burial was in the Florien Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Lucy, the daughter of Edward H. and Lydia J. Sandel Bolton, was born on May 17, 1923, in Gandy. She passed away on Saturday, March 05, 2016, in Many.
Mrs. Chism was an active member and Sunday School teacher of many
classes at Hornbeck United Pentecostal Church. She loved to crochet, knit and sew quilts. She loved her flowers and working in her garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, William Glaspie; second
husband, Odell C. Chism; daughters, Willie Fay Behan and Sarah Jane Stone and son-in-law, Buck Stone; brother, Theodore “Ted” Bolton; sisters, Betty Ashworth and Jeannette Bolton and great-grandchildren, Darnell & Danielle Goodwin.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Gerald Behan; grandchildren, Velvin Stone & wife, Brenda, Belinda Crowe & husband, Ken, David Stone & wife, Cookie, Sarah Lee Cooley, Wanda Hall & husband, William, Angela Behan and
Annette Miller; 24 great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
