Memorial services will be held for Dewayne Lee
Crowell on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at 10 a.m. at
Jeane’s Funeral Chapel, Leesville.
Dewayne Lee Crowell was born on June 8, 1949, to Percy and Elcie Crowell in Pemiscot County, Mo., and passed away on June 20, 2016, at the age
of 67 in Leesville.
He was a Vietnam veteran with more than 20 years of service in the United States Army. He had lived in Vernon Parish for the past 20 years and had worked for the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office at the prison. Mr.
Crowell also worked and retired from Cubic at Ft. Polk. He was enjoying the retiree’s life and loved to be out fishing and hunting. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and
brothers.
He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Proctor and husband Kevin, of Fredericksburg, Va. and Stacey Chafin and husband Timothy of Lynn Haven, Fla.; sisters, Panzy McCoy and Faye Singleton, both of Indiana; grandchildren,
Christopher, Britney, Jordan, and Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Payton, Sean, Jackson, Caleb, and Ma’Kayla.
