Funeral services for Joyce Perkins McInnis, 95, of
Anacoco, will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev. Wade Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the McInnis Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, August 19, 2016,
from 5-9 p.m. and on Saturday, August 20 from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Joyce, the daughter of Walter Clifford and Arie Vincie Hennigan, was born on February 3, 1921, in Hornbeck. She passed away on Wednesday,
August 17, 2016, in Anacoco.
Mrs. McInnis retired from the Louisiana State School as a supervisor. She was a member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her
family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles W. McInnis; daughter, Gatha Merchant; four sisters, Lucy, Mildred, Joann and Katy; one brother, Nathan; two granddaughters, and son-in-laws Joe Dowden and Billy
Merchant.
She is survived by her son, Russell McInnis and wife Robbin of Anacoco; daughter, Charlene Dowden of Anacoco; sister, Rachel Jones of Shreveport; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
