Graveside services for James Eckert, 66, of
Leesville will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
James, the son of Frederick and Josephine
Gabrya Eckert, was born March 4, 1951, in Buffalo, N.Y. He passed away at his residence in Leesville on Thursday, November 3, 2016.
Mr. Eckert served in the United States Army and retired as Staff Sergeant (E-6).
He is
survived by his wife of 39 years, Okpun Eckert of Leesville; son, Justin Eckert (Melody) of Tulsa, Okla.; brothers, Tony, Mike, and Raymond: sisters, Pat, Linda and Josette; and grandchildren, Ethan and Liam.
