Memorial services honoring the life of Emilio
Jaravata Boado will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Leesville. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a veteran’s support agency.
Emilio Jaravata Boado was born on July 10, 1931, the
second of nine children, in San Rosario La Union, Philippines, to Victor and Monica Boado. He passed away on November 8, 2016 at Grace House in Alexandria, LA at the age of 85.
He lived through the Japanese occupations of the Philippines
during WWII, then joined the United States Army as a way to support his family in the Philippines. He served time in Korea, Vietnam, France, Italy, and Germany, then eventually retired after 20 years, locating in Leesville. After retirement, he
continued to travel to visit family and help in relief efforts around the world.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Maire.
He is survived by his sister, Beatrice of Honolulu, Hi.; son, Richard and wife Pennie of
St. Peters, Mo.;
daughters, Estrelita and husband Marc of Tappan, N.Y., Leticia and husband Randy of Hoquiam, Wash., and Maria and husband Jeff of Castle Rock, Colo.; grandchildren: Michael, Louis, Justin, Marcela, Zoey, Richard II, and
Brittanie; great-grandson: Richard III.
