Funeral services for Shirley O. Hunt, 78, of
Leesville will be held Sunday, April 9, 2017, at 3 pm at Leesville First Baptist Church, with Rev. Jeff Coleman and Rev. Roger Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Castor Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 8th, from 5 pm until 9 pm in the funeral home and then 1 pm until service time at the church.
Shirley, the daughter of Marvin and Mable Lae Weaver, was born December 8, 1938 in
Jasper, TX. She passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017 in Lake Charles, LA. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years Floyd Thomas Hunt and her grandson Floyd Choyia Hunt, II.
Shirley owned, operated and was
president of Floyd General Construction Company, she was a member of Leesville First Baptist Church and was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Choyia andwife Jan Hunt of Leesville; daughter, Teresa Hunt Houston of
Leesville, LA; grandchildren, Joshua Elais Leger, Tammy Nacole Saffer and husband Kurt Saffer; great grandchildren, Taylor Nacole Thibodeaux and Kaiden Saffer and sister, Shelia Kay Willet of Port Arthur, TX; and niece, Klethia Garcia and husband
Marcus Garcia, Elissa Bodin and Christian Garcia.
