Baynes Jones Army Community Hospital is celebrating the first arrival of the new year.

1st Lt. Detrick Robertson and his wife, Krystie, welcomed son Detrick Jr. at 4:51 p.m. Jan. 1.

Robertson is the chaplain for the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 10th Mountain “Patriots.”

“Congratulations to 1st Lt. Detrick and Mrs. Krystie Robertson on the birth of your son Jan. 1, 2022. is the proud father of the first baby born in 2022 at JRTC and Fort Polk. Detrick Jr. was born at 4:51 p.m. on Saturday.

“Our entire staff wish you and your family health and happiness in the New Year,” the hospital said in a statement to the Leesville Leader.
