Wampus Cats blank Bolton, Grant; Lady Cats victorious

LEESVILLE — The last two district outings have been simply phenomenal for the Leesville Wampus Cats.
Leesville blitzed the Bolton Bears on the road late last week, 5-0, before returning home to drill the Grant Cougars on Monday night, 3-0.
With the wins, the Wampus Cats improved to 14-5-1 overall, including a perfect 3-0 record in district play. Leesville played Thursday at Grant and will return home on Monday for a pivotal district contest against DeRidder.
In the win over the Bears, the duo of Parker Lowe and Will McShan each had a pair of goals, while Juan DeDios added the other goal. Caden Catron preserved the shutout for the Cats with several notable saves.
On Monday, the Cats downed the Cougars in district play, 3-0. No scorers were reported for Leesville in the win.

The Leesville Lady Cats improved to 9-81 on the season late last week with an 8-0 win over the Bolton Lady Bears on the road.
Leesville is 1-1 in district play and has yet to play DeRidder, Buckeye or Grant in league action. Those matches will be played over a 7-day span, which began on Thursday.
Ariyah Green had four goals and an assist in the win for the Lady Cats, while Brtianna Troutman, Elise Lockton, Lauren Sanowar and Madison Joiner added a goal each.
