Lady Cats win in OT; Lady Indians fall to Fairview

LEESVILLE — It took a little more time, but the Leesville Lady Cats remained in the third of the District 3-4A standings.

Leesville (11-11) limited Bolton to just one point in overtime, prevailing by a score of 39-36 on Tuesday night at LHS.

The Lady Cats owned a 24-15 lead at the half, but watched Bolton rally to tie it at 35-35 to send it into overtime. However, Leesville converted more free throws in overtime to score the win.

Shyann McCummings paced the Lady Cats with 10 points. Bolton got a game-high 20 points from Montgomery.

Fairview……64

Anacoco…..55 

GRANT — The trio of Rylee Cloud, Bella Smith and Ella Reeves combined for 54 points as the Fairview Lady Panthers remained unbeaten in District 5-B action with a 64-55 win over the Anacoco Lady Indians.

Cloud led the Lady Panthers with 20 points, while Smith and Reeves each added 17 points.

Paige Mayo had 16 points to lead the Lady Indians, while Bella Henry notched 14 points. Brooklyn Bryant pitched in 12 points, while Bailey Davis finished with 11 points.

Rosepine…..64

Vinton…..13

VINTON — The duo of Kelly Norris and Taylor Farris combined for 36 points to lead the Rosepine Lady Eagles to an easy district win over the Vinton Lady Lions on Tuesday, 64-13.

Norris led the Lady Eagles with 19 points, while Farris contributed 17 points in the winning effort.

No Vinton players scored more than three points.

Pleasant Hill….46 

PLEASANT HILL — Hornbeck’s inside presence proved to be too much for the Pleasant Hill Lady Eagles as the Lady Hornets picked up a big District 3-C road win on Tuesday, 53-46.

Hannah Mitchell led the Lady Hornets with 15 points, while Kayleigh Park added 14 points in the win.

ShaDiamond Frazier finished with 17 points to lead Pleasant Hill, while MarKaya Jones came in with 14 points.

Singer…..28

PITKIN — The Pitkin Lady Tigers picked up a solid District 5-B win at home on Tuesday night, coming away with a 40-28 victory over the Singer Lady Hornets.

The Lady Tigers got a game-high 17 points from standout Abby Robinson in the win.

Abigail Wood paced Singer with 11 points.

Ebarb……58

Simpson….47 

EBARB — Despite allowing Simpson to have three players score in double figures, the Ebarb Lady Rebels were still able to pick up the District 3-C win on Tuesday, 58-47.

Camryn Cartinez led the Lady Rebels with 20 points in the win.

Kodi Miller paced Simpson with 19 points, while Lexie Merriman and Olivia Edwards added 13 and 10 points, respectively.
