PERRY, Ga. — Simpson’s Kodi Miller has had quite the amazing year in sports.
Miller won the Class C girls’ cross country state title, while also claiming a gold medal in the 1,600-meter run in May’s state track and field championships in Baton Rouge. She was also a key member of the Lady Bronco basketball squad.
Now, you can add rodeo to the mix.
Miller finished in 13th place overall in pole bending at the National Junior High School Rodeo Association final in Perry, Ga., last week.
In the first go-round, Miller finished with a time of 20.44 seconds to claim fourth place. In the second go, she reeled in the sixth best time at 20.169 seconds, which was good enough to vault her into first place in the overall standings headed into the final go-round.
However, it wasn’t meant to be for Miller as she recorded a time of 25.827 seconds in the final go, which dropped her to 13th place in the overall standings, also finishing in 13th in the final go-round.
