Leesville Mayor’s Women’s Commission announces July Beautification Award winners

The Leesville Mayor’s Women’s Commission announced the winners of their Beautification Awards for the month of July.
Winner for the residential category is Gary and Tausha McCoy, who live at 1214 Port Arthur Terrace. According to the couple, Gary does most of the yard work, but Tausha contributes with her stunning potted plants and an outstanding succulent garden.
The home’s landscaping is anchored by several neatly trimmed hedges studded with roses, hibiscus, and more that together create a delight for all to see.
The winner for the commercial category is Tail Gators located at 111 W. Harriet Street, owned by Richard Cauthen.
The business has only been recently opened, and members of the Women’s Commission said that in that short amount of time Cauthen’s work at “dressing up the place” is clear, with beautiful potted plants leading to the business’ door.
