Fastwyre Broadband, a premier provider of affordable, reliable high-speed internet service delivered through a state-of-the-art fiber-optic network in communities across America, continues to upgrade and expand its fiber-optic network in Southwest and South Central Louisiana to provide some of the fastest internet speeds in the region.
Previously operating as Cameron Communications, which has served Southwest and South Central Louisiana residents and businesses for nearly a century, the company has evolved into Fastwyre Broadband, revolutionizing internet accessibility. Fastwyre continues to invest millions in upgrades to its network and reliability allowing us to deliver unparalleled access in areas including Leesville, DeRidder, Cameron Parish, Carlyss, Elizabeth, Grand Lake, Moss Bluff, Oakdale, Pitkin, Sugartown, and Westlake.
Residents and businesses will enjoy faster internet speeds up to 2 gigabits per second, with plans to reach up to 10 gigabits per second.
“Last November, we enjoyed having city officials, business owners, and residents at a Leesville ceremonial ribbon cutting to launch our high-speed internet in addition to phone, TV, and business services in Leesville, DeRidder, and several other communities in Louisiana. We are excited to take our robust fiber network to the next level with the latest technology, delivering top-tier connectivity to residents and businesses,” said Kevin Caldwell, general manager of Fastwyre’s South Central Region. “Our deep-rooted history in Louisiana, dating back to 1928 when our predecessor company ‘Cameron Communications’ was founded, fills us with immense pride as we continue to serve residents and contribute to the growth of businesses in this vibrant region.
Fastwyre was proud to sponsor in 2023 these Leesville events: Armadillo Car & Bike Show Rally, Witch Way to Main Street, and the Downtown Christmas Festival, Caldwell said.
“We are excited to sponsor the upcoming Spring Fling concert event and Mayfest. In addition, you’ll see us at the baseball fields, school functions, and chamber events, and we look forward to visiting with residents at the Saturday Farmers’ Market.”
Residents, business owners, and organizations are invited to Fastwyre Broadband’s grand opening event April 20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 125 N. Washington Street in DeRidder. Fastwyre will offer free food, treats for the kids, and swag for all current and new customers.
