William Medford Cowgill

William Medford Cowgill, known by friends as “Mr. Camper,” passed from this life on January 19, 2009 in Leesville. He was 92 years old.

He is survived by his daughter, Audrey Garrison of Leesville; son,
Cotie Cowgill of Halifax, Mass.; sister, Evelyn Phillips of Honeybrook, Penn.; granddaughter, Jennifer Garrison Uglick of Seattle, Wash.; grandsons, Robbie Garrison of Leesville, Randy Cowgill of Charlottesville, Va., Cotie S. Cowgill of South
Weymouth, Mass.; and four great grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Doris Lamberth Cowgill.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009; 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and
Sunday, January 25, 2009; 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Chapel of Leesville. His funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Hixson Funeral Chapel.

The minister officiating will be
the Rev. Durhl Davis. Burial will follow in Old Anacoco Cemetery in Anacoco under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
