Funeral services for Douglas W. Marshall, Jr., 66, of Leesville will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with the Rev. D.R. Davis officiating. The burial will follow in the
Leesville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. and then again at 9 a.m. until service time in the funeral home Wednesday.
Doug passed away Sunday, Feb. 8 in his residence in Anacoco. He was an active member of
the First Baptist Church in Anacoco. He was retired from the state of Louisiana Fire Marshal’s office as an arson investigator, he also served as a member of the Leesville City Police for over 16 years.
He is preceded in death by his
first wife Dianne Marshall, his parents Douglas and Eva Marshall Sr. and his brother William D. Marshall.
Doug is survived by his wife, Judy Hill Marshall of Anacoco; his son and daughter-in-law: Douglas J. (Bubba) Marshall and Tina
of Leesville; daughter and son-in-law: Tamara and Todd Welch of Leesville; eight grandchildren, Brandon Booth, Brittany Draughn, Casey Wheeler, Cody Marshall, Chelsea Welch, Shelby Welch, Jaden Marshall and Dustin Welch; one great grandson, Landin
Draughn; his stepchildren, Sammy and Weida O’dell, Gary and Theresa O’dell, Deana Truax, Shannon and John Little, Rhonda and Stacey Dixon, Glenda and Brad LeBlanc; 13 step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
Services are
under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
