Funeral service for Alfred Ray Mynard, 87, will be held on Monday, March 9, 2009, 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Leesville with Rev. Gary Archibald officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of
Hixson of Leesville.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Alfred passed from this life on March 5, 2009, at his residence in Anacoco. Survivors include his loving
wife of 17 years on Valentines Day, Charlet Mynard of Anacoco; sons Alfred Ray Mynard Jr. of Oklahoma, Charles Hoffman and wife Sharon, Donald Hoffman and wife Shannon and Richard Hoffman, all of St. Louis Mo.; daughters Charlotte Ruth Phillips and
husband Wayne of Hawaii, Helen Marie Hill of Ariz., Diane Rene Schwartz and Jack of Houston Texas, Judith Ficke and husband Michael of Pollock, Joyce Jeane and husband Allen and Charlet Rogers and husband Richard both of Anacoco; sisters, Mable
Claire Hill of Calif., Edna Lucille Pyle and Elmina Mary Stephens both of Texas;19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents Ivison and Zona Mynard; one brother Ishmael Mynard; one sister,
Sybil Rogers; one son John Hoffman.He was also preceded in death by his first wife Ruth Hunter Mynard.
Alfred was born in Alton, Texas and proudly served in the United States Army during Worl War II.He worked for Sheffield Steel
during his career.
