David Scott Dunn

Funeral services for David Scott Dunn, 53, of Leesville will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2009
at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Sandy Guynn officiating. The burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery. Friends may visit from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 28 and on Sunday, March 29 from 8 a.m. until time of
service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
David passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at his residence in Leesville. He was a member of
the Eagle Scouts and graduated from Broadmoor High School in Baton Rouge, in 1973; after high school he worked for J Ray McDermott. He worked for the School Board in West Palm Beach, Fla.; he then graduated from Northwestern College with a degree in
Industrial Technology; he also worked with the LA Department of Transportation; he drove nationwide, long distance hauling and permit 18 wheeler driving; he worked for private industry and as a self-employed construction worker. In addition he was an
employee of Imperial Hardware Store. He loved to ride motorcycles, taught SCUBA diving and was a master diving instructor with PADI for over 20 years; he also had a strong interest in photography.
He was preceded in death by his
mother Jerri Hicks Dunn.
David is survived by his father Al Dunn of Leesville; aunt, Lydia D. Ballard of Leesville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be: Rick Howe, Mike Horton, Jason Horton,
Flash Stevens, T.B. Porter and Matt Stevens.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Roland Cote, John Burns, Wesley Lack, Frank Hamby, Federal Judge Maury Hicks, Buzz Scutt, Ralph Gahmer, Travis Hicks and Tom Knapp.
