Funeral services for Willie Lee Williams, 88, of Leesville will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2009, at New Willow Baptist Church in Leesville, with Rev. Harrison Fields officiating.
The burial will follow in
Leesville Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may visit on Thursday, June 4, from 7 until 8 p.m. at the church. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Willie passed away
Tuesday, May 26, 2009, in Leesville. Mr. Williams was a twenty year U.S. Army Veteran, serving in War War II, with numerous medals. He also served twenty-two years in the Civil Service. Mr. Williams was well known and loved; he will truly be missed
by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-nine years, Betty Joe Williams; one daughter, Karen Mills; parents, Sidney Williams and Lula Holmes, and several sisters and brothers.
Mr. Williams is
survived by his sons, Willie Lee Williams II, Demetrius Williams, Derek Williams, and Kevin Mills, all of Leesville; daughter, Michelle Mills of Little Rock, Ark.; brothers, Herman Richardson of Gary, Ind. and Frazier Richardson of Greenville, Miss.;
and sister, Thelma Mason, of New York City, NY.
