Lois Garbo Price

Mrs. Lois Garbo Clark Price, 80, a resident of High Point, N.C. and a faithful witness for the Lord,
beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother was called home to be with the Lord on Friday May 29, 2009.
She was born August 16, 1928 in Birmingham, Ala., a daughter of Lon and Mabel Clark. She graduated in 1946 from
Leesville High School in Leesville. She owned and operated the Carousel Bridal Shop. She was a member of Oakview Baptist Church and a former member of Hunter Hills Baptist Church in Greensboro.
Lois’s life has been a walk in love with
the Lord and others. Through her 40 years in the bridal business she has seen many loving couples to the altar and spread God’s word to each one. Family members will remember that “MeMawí’s Café” was always open with Cajun recipes being her
specialty. Her presence will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her parents and in 2003 by her son, Thomas Ira Price.
On August 17, 1947 she was married to Wilmer Price who survives of the home.
Surviving in addition to her husband are six daughters, Karen Price Ransdell of Creedmoor, Sharon Price Miller and husband Louie of Seagrove, Deborah Price Heaton Thomas and husband Dan of Lexington, Mary Price Snyder and fiancé Joseph Clement of
Jamestown, Ruth Price Tucker and husband Jeff of Butner, Elizabeth Price Gore Jordan and Husband Darrin of High Point; two half-brothers, Thomas Hepworth Clark of High Point, Roy Daniel Johnson of California; former daughter-in-laws, Kim Halverson
Price of Kansas, Carol Bull Price of Marion; former son-in-laws, Michael Snyder of High Point, Brian Gore of Alabama; two honorary daughters, Iris Boswell of Jamestown, Crystal Tucker Bullis of High Point; 14 grandchildren, Jason Allen Heaton, Jodi
Price Child, Joseph Smith Ransdell II, Matthew Martin Miller, Jessica Snyder Lynch, Justin Michael Snyder, Andrew Clark Gore, Carrie Jordan Reynolds, Zachary Lewis Tucker, Jonathan Price Ransdell, Adam Franklin Gore, Daniel Jacob Tucker, Hannah Grace
Jordan, Sarah Faith Jordan; Great-Grandchildren, Holly Marie Lynch, Allison Rachel Child, Hunter Alexander Reynolds; soon to be great grandson, John Thomas Child and an expected great grandchild, baby Lynch.
Funeral services were held
Monday at 2 p.m. in the Sechrest Funeral Chapel, 1301 East Lexington Ave., conducted by Rev. Steve Smith. Interment followed in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sechrest Funeral Service on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.
and other times at the home of her daughter, Elizabeth Jordan 2220 White’s Mill Road.
